The Campaign for Renters Rights was initiated in December 1998 by members of Labor's Militant Voice. Our intention was to build an independent organization that would help renters organize and use direct action to win its battles. The CRR was modeled on the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty in Toronto Canada.
